Eyebrow threading has become a sensation amongst the beauty community, overshadowing eyebrow waxing. For those of you who are unfamiliar with eyebrow threading, it is a form of eyebrow plucking that originated from the Middle East and utilizes sewing thread to uproot unwanted eyebrow and facial hairs. There are many pros to threading your eyebrows versus waxing them, here are my top three reasons:
1.) Accuracy – Unlike waxing your eyebrows, getting them threaded allows for a more accurate and precise hair removal process. Waxing can be difficult and sticky to work with making it a messy and a scary process. Who wants to rip out the wrong eyebrow hairs?
2.) Less Painful – Although eyebrow threading can still be painful, it is less painful than waxing. Certain waxes are prone to ripping skin off because the skin around your eyes/eyebrows is very sensitive and thin. If the wax is too hot it can also burn your skin and leave your eyebrow area looking worse than before you started.
3.) Price – An eyebrow wax at ULTA Beauty costs $21 + tax, while the eyebrow threading places that I have personally been to range from $10-$12 with no tax.
